Unveiling of the Calgary Peace Bridge

by Downtown Calgary · 0 comments

A healthy and enthusiastic crowd was on hand for the unveiling of Calgary’s newest landmark. Mayor Nenshi gave an interesting speech, touching on the controversy involved with the construction of the bridge, but stressing that we should all do our best to get along. In addition to the many city officials on hand, there were MLAs, media, dancers, magicians and more. Overall it was a very nice event that drew Calgarians of different walks of life together, to walk and roll across the new bridge.

We also got video of the Chinese Lion Dancers crossing the bridge
