Alberta Theatre Projects is giving a sneak-peek at their 2012/2013 line-up and it promises to be an exciting season. ATP’s theme this season is ‘Life More Beautiful’, and they are kicking off in October with Intimate Apparel, a story of forbidden love at the turn of the 20th century. The play has a fashion theme, so be ready for beautiful period costumes and luxurious sets that will reinforce the theme of ‘Life More Beautiful’.
Immediately following Intimate Apparel, is the stage version of You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Yes, it IS based on the popular Peanuts characters of Charles M. Schulz’s famous comic strips and holiday specials. I’m not going to speculate on how ATP is going to bring Snoopy to life, but it will be a sight to be seen. The play is family friendly, so feel free to bring children.
In addition to getting a sneak-peek at the glorious 12/13 season that ATP has in store for us, Downtown Calgary (us) will be at the event trying to find some stylish people for our Downtown Style Icon event. We’ll have a photo-booth and nomination forms, so if you think you’ve got what it takes to be a Style Icon, be sure to stop and say Hi.
