This year’s Calgary Folk Music Festival is just around the corner. From July 24th to 27th you can partake in the 35th iteration of this world-class music festival.
Taking place on the beautiful Prince’s Island Park, Folk Fest is one of the premier festivals of the summer encompassing music, art and a general feeling of community as the island is transformed in to a musical ecosystem.
This year’s headliners include Amos Lee, Rufus Wainwright, Andrew Bird, Patty Griffin, Matt Andersen, Great Lake Swimmers, Fishbone and The Jayhawks. You can also catch many of the lesser-known artist on side-stages performing workshops and playing with other artists to give the afternoons a very folky feel.
