Fantasia - Taking selections from both of Disney’s masterpiece Fantasia films, the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra will perform along with scenes from each of the films including the famous ‘Sorcerer’s Apprentice’ scene featuring Mickey Mouse and his troublesome brooms. This show will be great for the entire family, and is a great way to introduce classical music to young people.
TD Jazz Series - Another show at the Jack Singer in October will feature Powerhouse saxophone player and vocalist Maceo Parker. Look forward to a lot of fun, as dancing is highly encouraged!
Vampires Live at The Palomino - Things start to get spooky when rock group Vampires descend upon the Palomino Smokehouse on their Western Canadian tour with support from local bands Mayland and Burro.

Classical Superstar - With a busy international touring schedule and glittering recording career, Joshua Bell is regarded as a true classical superstar. Joining the CPO for one special performance, Bell’s virtuosic style and charismatic stage presence promises to electrify the concert hall.
ProArts@Noon - These weekly noon-hour concerts are FREE and are a great way to take in some culture!
There are two plays coming up that relate to war, and with Remembrance Day coming up in November we thought they’d be great to share as well! Alberta Theatre Projects is featuring ‘The Butcher‘ and Lunchbox Theatre presents ‘Jake’s Gift‘. Both plays are running until November, so you have tons of chances to catch one or both!
