The more that I think about it, the more I’ve come to realize that it wasn’t just my love for fashion that helped and encouraged me to start my street style blog, and then venture into editorial work with my style photography. I’ve noticed that more than just the fashion is encouraging me to continue my work - I love to people watch and observe and document what is going on around me. I’m the gal that sits with my back to the wall so that I can see the entire coffee shop or restaurant. I ride transit and observe the passengers. And of course, I photograph not just style but the life that is bustling around me.
So for this post, I not only found some stylish strangers to capture, but I also snapped a few people just doing their thing - and that thing might just be walking down Stephen Avenue sporting a face mask. On a random Tuesday. Or texting while sitting on a bench during a work break. Or waiting for a bus. And when it comes down to it, no matter what you’re wearing, I’m happy to be capturing these candid and stylish moments on the streets of Downtown Calgary.
