Downtown Calgary Festive Fun Campaign

Every year, the folks here at Downtown Calgary come up with ways that we can make the holidays great.

This year we kicked things off with a special lighting celebration to share our new Stephen Avenue lights with everyone. We were joined by a few hundred Calgarians who came down to enjoy the lights, carolers, hot chocolate and cookies!

Now we’re ready to up the ante and we’ve planned some exciting and family friendly activities leading up to Christmas.

Downtown With Santa

Last year’s #SantaSelfie event was so much fun, we decided to bring Jolly Old Saint Nick back for more downtown fun. On Saturday, December 13th join us at the Devonian Gardens for an afternoon with Santa Claus! In addition an opportunity to take photos with Santa, there will be carolers and crafts for the kids. On Saturday, December 20th we’re bringing Santa to Olympic Plaza for a skating party! yes, we’ll be joining Santa on the ice at Olympic Plaza for an afternoon of ice skating. Skates and helmets will be available in limited quantities on a first-come, first-serve basis, so get there early. 25 Days of Festive Fun

In addition to Santa events, we’re having a little fun around the office and giving you suggestions on how you can create festive fun for the Christmas season in Downtown Calgary.

The elves at EvansHunt put together this calendar which will reveal a new downtown festive fun activity for each day leading up to Christmas so check back every day! We’ll also be posting each event on Instagram and Facebook.
