Santa Claus is coming Downtown! Our old friend in red is taking a quick break from making toys with the elves and coming to Downtown Calgary for a FREE skating event.
Join us on Saturday, December 20th 2014 for Skating with Santa at Olympic Plaza from 11am to 3pm. You and your family will have an opportunity to skate at Olympic Plaza with Santa Claus.
Skates and helmets will be available in limited quantities to borrow, courtesy of Kidsport.
There will also be musical entertainment provided by The Jerrymobile, and you can catch some skilled skaters show off their skills on the ice.
Santa will also be taking some breaks to take photos on his north pole chair. Bring your own camera or smartphone and get a photo with Santa without standing in line for hours!
You can also enter our draw for a $50 gift certificate to Earl’s in Banker’s Hall and share your holiday moments on social media using #DowntownFestiveFun to be entered to win a downtown prize package.
Note: this event is weather permitting. If there’s a blizzard, please assume the event is cancelled. For confirmation you can check Downtown Calgary on Twitter or on Facebook.
