It’s that time again! Now that another summer is over, it’s time to pull on some woolly socks, brew some tea and grab a good book!
To aid in your literary excitement be sure to check out this month’s Wordfest!
Wordfest is the festival for readers that features a number of bestselling international authors doing readings and other events.
These aren’t the types of events with thousands of fans packing in to Olympic Plaza for a loud, sweaty, concert, but intimate and engaging experiences with notable authors from around the world, and right in our own backyard. The festival also features poetry readings, workshops, panels and something called a ‘Literary Death Match‘!
Check the Wordfest website for more info on this year’s schedule, which also includes events for youths as well as events en francaise!
Wordfest runs from October 13th to 18th, 2015 at multiple downtown venues and includes many free and ticketed events. Get you tickets soon, as many popular events tend to sell out!
