On the second and fourth Tuesday of the month, Stephen Avenue will be hosting an outdoor farmer’s market, the first of the season and of the first of its kind on the Ave. While the concept of vendors on Stephen Avenue is not new idea, this event will attempt to fill a market that is missing in the downtown core.
Occurring every other Tuesday (with the exception of a three week gap between the end of July and beginning of August) the market will run from 10AM to 3PM between 1st Street SE and 1st Street SW. It will feature a variety of vendors, from produce, pies, baked goods and an eclectic mix of jewelry, accessories and crafts.
So what makes a Farmer’s Markets downtown so great? Well, you’ll be supporting local businesses and farmers. As a consumer at the market, you will have the choice to help support a smaller business, and help them to grow. You also have the opportunity to communicate with vendors directly about their product. One of the best parts? It’s outside and patios are out! You can hit the market and then sit on the patio and enjoy the warmer weather.
Dates:
June 21
July 5 & 19
August 9 & 23
September 6 & 20
Each market will run 10am to 3pm weather permitting.

Can’t wait to see it
On Tuesday’s?! Would have thought this would be a weekend event. Too bad. Gonna be hard for a lot of people to make it during those times.
It’s actually quite popular, especially with downtown office workers and tourists.
looking forward to the one in June, excellent idea, live in East Village, so it’s really close with no vehicle
