This weeks theme is Shakespeare by the Bow! Don’t miss some of Calgary’s unique vendors such as Family Freezed Gourmet Ice Pops, Cococo Chocolaterie Bernard Callebaut from Bankers’ Hall, and many more. Also, the Calgary Bike Ambassadors will be present to answer any questions you may have about bike infrastructure.

Pop-Up Piano Series - July 12 & 14, 2016
Pop-Up Piano Series features free performances on Tuesdays and Thursdays in July!
Tuesday, July 12th, from Noon to 1 pm features Nathaniel Schmidt on the Woodlands Piano (332 6th avenue SW). Nathaniel is a pianist and composer and has been a very busy member of Calgary’s music scene for upwards of five years. During this time, Nathaniel has worked to establish himself as a varied performer and composer, hoping to spread classical music to the masses.
Thursday, July 14th, catch Michelle Grégoire from Noon to 1 pm on the Piano Bar (In Eau Claire Market 200 Barclay Parade SW). A pianist and composer, Michelle’s music has been described as “ingenious”, “elegant”, “balanced”, and “original with great depth and imagination”. Stampede Downtown and Fluor Rope Square
Join the sounds of the Calgary Stampede with a variety of entertainment all week to get your boots stompin’ and your heels clickin’ presented by the Calgary Stampede Downtown Attractions Committee in Fluor Rope Square (Olympic Plaza, 228 8 Avenue SE).
Enjoy a free Chuckwagon Breakfast every morning from 8:15 am to 10:30 am in Olympic Plaza. There will also be featured entertainment, the Parade of Old Time Rigs, First Nations Parade and much more every day from July 11-16. Shakespeare By The Bow - July 13-17, 2016
This year Theatre Calgary continues the city’s Shakespeare tradition on Prince’s Island with HAMLET! Starring a cast of emerging theatre talent, their annual outdoor production is a magnificent way to spend a summer’s evening.
Grab a blanket, a picnic, and take in one of Shakespeare’s greatest plays in one of Calgary’s favourite places. Shakespeare by the Bow takes place from June 21 to August 21.

Proarts Free Concert - July 13, 2022
Proarts concerts started as a modest weekly recital, and has now blossomed into an established concert series, providing a free concert experience every week accessible to everyone plus a showcase for hundreds of Calgary’s performing artists!
This week enjoy master violinist Jonathan Lewis and pedal steel guitar wizard Charlie Hase join together to create a ‘portal to the beyond’. The melding of a colourful variety of musical styles and world influences. Expect these two veteran musicians to perform experimental improvisations exploring the relationship between the known and the mysterious. To find out more, click here.
