Street Style Huntress: Pretty in Blue

by Aldona Barutowicz · 0 comments

It takes a certain amount of moxie to rock out some seriously bold and colourful hair, and Sera Fisekci definitely has it - and more where that came from! I love her style mix of bold and colourful, a little bit of girly, yet with a touch of rock and roll that not everyone is able to pull off. Her makeup is always fierce too, so it comes as no surprise that she’s been working and creating as a makeup artist for the past few years, and her body art pulls it all together to showcase her personality and to tell a bit of her story.

For this edition of the Street Style Huntress we decided to photograph on Fisekci’s favourite Stephen Avenue, and naturally took advantage of getting in the holiday spirit on the Downtown Calgary ice sleigh. Happy Holidays!

How would you describe your personal style?

Cute with a bit of punk.

What are some of your influences when it comes to fashion?

I love Alexander McQueen, and I’m influenced by Kat von D and my sister-in-law Vicky.

What are some of your favourite stores and shopping destinations in Downtown Calgary?

The Bay, Aritzia and Sephora are definitely my favourite!

What are some of your favourite Downtown YYC spots?

I like strolling on Stephen Avenue and visiting the Devonian gardens at The Core.

What are some of your favourite trends right now?

Blue! If it’s not a trend, then it should be 🙂

What fashion advice would you give to others?

Be you. Enjoy you and wear what makes you happy.

Tell us more about the projects and work that you’re involved with.

I have just been freelancing as a makeup artist, doing weddings and such!

What are some of your future aspirations?

I want to work more within the Make-up and Fashion industries.

How does your work influence your personal style?

It allows me to be free with my style choices - I can wear what makes me feel cute and comfortable!
