Happy 150th Canada!
Join the celebrations on Saturday, July 1st in Downtown Calgary where there’s something for everyone including Canadian Armed Forces activities, Indigenous entertainment with a traditional Powwow, an extensive line-up of Canadian musicians on the Riverfront Avenue stage and the Stephen Avenue Summer Stage and an outstanding fireworks display.As in past years there are many locations with family-friendly activities and entertainment.

STEPHEN AVENUE SUMMER STAGE | June 27, 28, 29 & July 1, 2022
Mondays through Thursdays and select Saturdays, we’ll be featuring live, local entertainment from noon to 1pm on the Summer Stage. To help celebrate Canada’s 150th, there will be stage programming from 11 AM to 5 PM.
The Summer Stage is located on Stephen Avenue between Centre Street and 1st Street SE, right near the Telus Convention Centre.

- June 29 - Mind Seed
- 11 AM - 12 PM - The Corey Hotline

THE GLENN MILLER ORCHESTRA | June 29, 2022
The legendary Glenn Miller Orchestra will perform one night only in Calgary as they tour the world, bringing timeless classics like In the Mood, Moonlight Serenade, Chattanooga Choo Choo, Pennsylvania 6-5000, String of Pearls and Tuxedo Junction back to the stage. Even 75 years after founding his famous orchestra Glenn Miller’s music is alive and well.
On Thursday, June 29, 20 musicians and singers will bring the unforgettable Glenn Miller sound to the Jack Singer Concert Hall performing timeless songs that everyone remembers. This is a must-see show for jazz and swing fans alike or the incurable romantics who want to step back in time. The legendary Glenn Miller was the most successful of all the dance bandleaders back in the Swing era of the 1930s and ’40s.

OTAFEST 2017 | June 30 - July 2, 2022
Looking to get off the beaten path? Calgary’s premier anime festival, Otafest, returns June 30 through July 2, 2017. The Otafest is a creative outlet and event for fans; an occasion where they can show their passion and appreciation of the hobby with the showing off of handmade costumes, music videos and art. Some of the key events at Otafest include an AMV contest, auction (18+ only), and Photo Booth.
For the first time ever, they will also be hosting an exclusive rooftop patio party for attendees to come watch the Canada Day fireworks with Otafest. The patio is open to attendees of all ages.
