Featuring: Jossy Gallegos, Zihuatanejo, Mexico and Tim Williams, Calgary, Canada
Jossy Gallegos is a talented and versatile singer-songwriter from Mexico. She began her professional career at the age of 9, putting her unique spin on traditional folk songs. At 21, she recorded her first album playing solo guitar in classic Trova, pop, bolero and romantic songs. For her second album, Little Bird , she recorded her own compositions.
Tim Williams is an international award-winning blues-based singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He is a 40-year veteran of the ‘Roots’ music scene in North America, with a history that stretches back to the coffee-house scene of his native California in the mid 60s.
This performance is free and runs over the lunch hour (12pm - 1pm) on January 17, 2018.

MOON, MOON, NO MOON
January 16-20, 2018
A meditation on the moon’s significance to humans, Moon, Moon, No Moon Cabaret will look at humankind’s millennia-long relationship with the moon — from embodiment as a god or goddess, to the way we mark time for ritual and agricultural purposes, through to use for propaganda during the cold war.

MS WHISKY FESTIVAL
January 18, 2022
The 7th annual MS Whisky Festival takes place on January 18, 2022 at Arts Commons in Downtown Calgary. Come and sample some of the over 200 whiskies from more than 30 vendors who will be there. As part of our Master Class Series, ticket holders can also have the opportunity to learn more about whisky from those who make it. The classes are designed to dive further in to the whisky making process, from mashing to fermentation to distilling and of course drinking!

WOMEN’S MARCH CALGARY
January 20, 2022
In January 2017, all across Canada, we marched together in solidarity with Sister Marches around the world. Today, in Canada, we March On.
We believe that there is still work to do.
And so, we march on.
On January 20, 2018, March On Canada - Calgary will be in solidarity with cities across North America for this anniversary event. We’ll be meeting outside in front of Bankers Hall on Stephen Avenue at noon and will walk up along Stephen Avenue to the Municipal Plaza.
