World’s Largest Skylight Installation Complete

A major milestone for the CORE (Calgary Eaton Centre, TD Square and Holt Renfrew Building) in the multi-million dollar redevelopment project was achieved on November 12th with the installation of the world’s largest point-supported structural glass skylight.

Attention Shoppers!

This weekend be sure to shop the new Holt Renfrew Calgary Flagship store (510 8th Avenue SW). There will be plenty of lux for our bucks at this 87,000 square foot shrine to high fashion, which houses new collections for men and women such as, Bird By Juicy (pictured above), Gucci, and Marni—just to name a few. As well, check out grand boutiques by Hermes, Links of London, Louis Vuitton and Thomas Pink.

The sun was shining and the models were hot

Stylocity kicked off at noon on September 8 with a “Going out Downtown” fashion show featuring what to wear and where to go when going out downtown. Featuring styles from Kismet, Persona, Element, Harry Rosen’s and Riley & McCormick with stylish shoes for Arnold Churgin, and signature dishes from Teatro, Belgo, Q Haute, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Buchanans, Chicago Chophouse, and Barclay’s the fashion show looked fantastic on the Stephen Avenue runway. Sprucing up for Stylocity

September marks a New Year in the fashion world, which downtown Calgary plans to celebrate in fine form with the inaugural Stylocity (September 8-12). Taking a cue from past Downtown Calgary Fashion Weeks, Stylocity will feature runway shows, as well as food, art, accessories and entertainment.

Fresh on the runway

The festivities begin today with a fashion show that will transform part of Stephan Avenue into an 88-foot catwalk. Nikita the runner up of Canada’s Next Top Model will open the show strutting her stuff in this season’s hottest fashions, followed by her chic cohorts from i-Model Management. Get ready to preview fall 2009 trends and accessories from downtown retailers such as Persona, Kismet, Element, Arnold Churgin, Harry Rosen, and Riley & McCormick. (more…)
